Winter in Michigan can be messy. One day we are in a stunning winter wonderland and the next it’s dreary and muddy. But that doesn’t mean we have to stop taking photos. We just change where we go.

For the Urban Series, we stick to paved paths and historic downtowns. We use brick walls, stone arches, and city streets to frame your dog. It gives us a clean, structured look that fits perfectly in a home, without the mess of a muddy trail.

How It Works

  • We Plan the Location Together: We aren't limited to one specific city. Whether you prefer the collegiate stone of Ann Arbor or the historic brick of Northville or Plymouth, we will choose the location that best fits your style before your session.

  • It’s Just a Walk: If you are worried about your dog being hyper or distracted, don't be. This isn't a stiff performance. It is really just a walk on a leash. We wander a bit, let them sniff, and I wait for those natural moments that you create together just by being yourselves.

  • Safety is Simple: Your dog stays safely on a leash the entire time. I will remove the leash later in Photoshop, so you get the peace of mind during the session and a clean, professional image at the end.

The Investment ($250)

  • The Session: We spend about 30 minutes walking and shooting.

  • The Credit: Your full $250 session fee is 100% credited back toward the artwork you choose to purchase later.

  • The Result: You aren't paying for digital files that get lost on a hard drive. You are investing in a finished piece of art for your wall.

"But... I really want Snow Photos."

I get it. A dog in fresh snow is beautiful. If a snowy winter wonderland is your absolute dream, I can help—but we have to be flexible.

Since we can't predict the weather, snow sessions are booked last-minute when the forecast looks perfect.
